Cooling-focused, Low Pressure Loss, High-Output Model!

The EVOLVE Intercooler Kit, boasting overwhelming cooling performance, has been updated to "spec.R specifications"!

We have revised the internal core shape, piping, and tank dimensions to achieve improved cooling performance and stable intake air temperatures.

By adopting the maximum size core (630×140×100) for a stock-replacement type, we have optimized the balance between response and pressure loss.

It covers a wide range of use from street driving to circuit use, and its performance can be further maximized through ECU tuning.

  • Compatible with MT models from the initial model to the 2024 post-minor-change (MC) model.

  • Note: AT models are scheduled for release at a later date.

What is spec.R?

  • Increased Cooling Efficiency = Improvement of High Output Cooling efficiency, the most critical factor for an intercooler, fluctuates due to various conditions such as core/tank size, tube/fin shape, intake air flow, and dwell time.
In the spec.R, we have successfully improved cooling performance and stabilized intake air temperatures by optimizing side tanks, cooling fins, and tube shapes.
Through repeated testing to ensure pressurized air flows into the core tubes with ideal balance, the spec.R was born.
This stability in temperature leads to significant power gains.

  • Relationship Between Pressure Loss and Cooling Efficiency To improve cooling, air must stay in the tubes longer while fins are exposed to ambient airflow.
However, simply increasing tube size to dwell more air increases pressure loss and reduces response.
Conversely, letting air pass through too quickly improves response but reduces cooling.
Thus, pressure loss and cooling efficiency are in a trade-off relationship.
Depending on the driving stage and required specs, one must choose between prioritizing response or cooling.

  • HPI’s Development Concept The spec.R is designed for all stages, from street to circuit. It balances cooling performance and response at a high level to support everything from stock to boost-up and large-capacity turbines.
It maintains stable cooling even in severe conditions, such as continuous laps or low-airflow situations, drawing out the vehicle's true power that surpasses the stock unit.
By rewriting ECU settings (fuel, ignition, electronic control) to match the spec.R's cooling effect, even higher output can be realized.
