FORMULA DRIFT JAPAN 2026 Rd.5 Okuibuki🔥

We are excited to announce that HPI will be exhibiting at "FORMULA DRIFT JAPAN Rd.5", held at Gransnow Okuibuki in Shiga Prefecture on September 5th (Sat) and 6th (Sun), 2026!

 

■ What is FORMULA DRIFT JAPAN (FDJ)? 
FORMULA DRIFT JAPAN is the Japanese series of the US-origin "FORMULA DRIFT"—a top-tier drift competition where monster machines packing up to 1,000 horsepower clash head-to-head, producing massive clouds of tire smoke in ultra-close battles.
 

This round’s venue, "Gransnow Okuibuki", features a highly technical special course set at a high elevation. It is one of the most popular rounds in the series, offering spectators an up-close, heart-pounding experience of intense tandem battles with cars drifting just centimeters apart!

1JZ Meeting 2026💨

2026 ALL JAPAN 1JZ DRIFT MEETING (commonly known as "1J Meeting") is a major annual festival for cars equipped with JZ engines (1JZ / 2JZ / 1.5JZ), returning for the first time in two years.
 

Event Highlights:

  • Drift Session: Divided into beginner, intermediate, and advanced classes with four driving sessions scheduled.

  • Dress-up Contest: Showcase your customized car in a dedicated area within the Drift Park.

  • Parade Run: A special session where cars cruise the main Fuji Speedway racing course at noon.

  • Exhibitor Booths: Displays and special sales of parts and merchandise from many famous manufacturers and shops.

  • Special Guests: Many famous JZ drivers are scheduled to attend.
     

Please note that registration for all activities, including the drift sessions, dress-up contest, and parade run, has already closed.
However, general spectators are welcome to attend (an additional Fuji Speedway admission fee is required).

Starting in 2026, this event has evolved from its roots as "Tokyo Auto Salon Kuala Lumpur" into a grander, more dynamic celebration under its new official title: TOKYO AUTO SALON MALAYSIA. 

 

Moving to a new, larger venue, this event is no longer just a static exhibition—it has transformed into a comprehensive automotive festival designed for fans to not only "see" but truly "experience" cars.
The 2026 edition features a massive outdoor area for live demonstrations and interactive car culture activities, alongside a vast indoor hall showcasing the latest custom builds, high-performance parts, and concept cars from Japan and beyond.
